okanaganlakebc.ca NEEDS DONATIONS TO GROW
If you find okanaganlakebc.ca useful and you have a little money you can spare even if its only $5.00, it all helps, just wondering if you wouldn't mind making a small donation?
okanaganlakebc.ca was initially created in 2006 to help keep the community of North Westside Road updated on topics of interest, as well as help connect the community with local businesses.
okanaganlakebc.ca provides information to mostly the North Westside Road area but also provides some information to other areas located around Okanagan Lake as well.
okanaganlakebc.ca provides free business listings, free vacation rental listings, free classifieds, and free collections of information on topics of interest.
We want to redesign a section of okanaganlakebc.ca so that businesses can add their own free business listings as well as have a working search feature to search just around Okanagan Lake for business listings. okanaganlakebc.ca needs to spend some money to buy a program that will do that.
okanaganlakebc.ca costs approx. $100 per year for website space on the internet. One person has been paying for okanaganlakebc.ca web space since 2006 and didn't mind paying that, but we want to see okanaganlakebc.ca grow.
We want to make okanaganlakebc.ca even better, how about you?
Also now that high speed wireless internet is the only internet available to okanaganlakebc.ca unless we want to go back to dialup, and the audio clip files of the Regional District of Central Okanagan that we are posting to okanaganlakebc.ca are so large, its costing us more for internet as well. Our last bill for wireless internet was $511. We told Telus to take us to court that we are not paying that and signed up with Bell.... but its the same problem there. These companies know rural residents don't have a choice and these big companies take advantage of that. It probably costs Telus no more to install high speed wireless internet for rural residents other than installing a booster antenna, than for city residents. The 4G network is coming from a tower in the Mission of Kelowna and you need line of sight to the tower to get the 4G network. Some residents in Valley of the Sun cannot get on the 4G network.
