The West Kelowna Residents' Association Board named Joe Lavigne as
President
PhotoApril 22 at its first regularly scheduled meeting following the
Annual General Meeting. Outgoing President Tom Howe handed over his
duties after two years at the helm of the Association which
coincided with the early days of the new District of West Kelowna.
Joe Lavigne has been a board member of the Association since 2004
and has
closely followed many community activities and developments on
behalf of the
group. In particular he followed the activities of the Westside Fire
Protection District until its transfer to the Regional District.
Subsequently he became and remains a trustee of the Westbank
Irrigation
District where he is now the second longest serving trustee. Joe has
been
Vice President the for the past two years.
Other executive positions filled include:
Vice President - Len Novakowski: Len served for many years as a
Director
of the Regional District of Central Okanagan representing Electoral
Area
Westside until the incorporation of Westside, now West Kelowna.
Secretary - Lew Adkins
Treasurer - Larry Mintz
Tom Howe remains on the Board of the Association as Past President. |
