Free tax preparation service for those unable to complete their tax return and unable to pay for assistance.

Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) sponsors the Community Volunteer Income Tax Program, which provides free help to complete income tax returns. This free service is available to people with low income and a simple tax situation, who are not able to prepare their own tax returns. Returns will not be prepared for deceased persons, bankrupt individuals, or for people with capital gains/losses, business income or rental income.

There are volunteer tax clinics in many communities. Most of them operate in March and April. To find a clinic near you, visit the CRA web site Volunteer Tax Preparation Clinics. For more information on this service, and a phone # to call for more information, see Need a hand with your taxes on the CRA web site.

THIS SECTION HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH THE RATEPAYERS ASSOCIATION

When you belong to any Association your vote, if its a yes or a no vote, can change depending on what the majority of the Association votes.  If the majority vote yes, then your vote becomes a yes, and if they vote no, then your vote becomes no.  Belonging to an Association can be used against you.

If you would prefer to have your vote remain what you voted, either yes or no, then check out this concept about direct democracy or pure democracy.

www.okanaganlakebc.ca is starting to organize a PURE DEMOCRACY PETITION.  If we all work together we can accomplish anything.  Lets put a little effort into this and get legislation changed by way of a PURE DEMOCRACY PETITION.  Nothing is going to change if we don't change it!!
