  • Yes, if its the only way to have water in the neighborhood.
  • Yes, if its the only way to get water.  I feel in 2006-2007 that's a must to have running water and everybody should participate in payment for a water system.  Everyone would profit from it and it will raise property value.  If the City can spend millions of dollars for a new swimming pool or upgrade roads, a priority should be to make sure that everybody has the sands of life with running water.

11.  Are you interested in having a privately owned and operated water system like Fintry (rumoured to be between $500.00 - $700.00 per year to draw water from) and Estamont (approx. $300.00 per year to draw water from and maybe rising to approx. $700.00)?  Circle YES or circle NO

COMMENTS:

  • As taxpayers we anticipate that water will be next on the agenda for the convenience and safety of our subdivisions.  This past summer there were fires on both sides of us on the same day with the road to Kelowna and Vernon closed at the same time but fortunately did not become an emergency evacuation situation.  Our cistern would not have helped in that situation.  We want and need more access to water and are able to pay our share within reason.  Any safe source of water would be considered by us; right to the lot line would be an extra bonus.
  • We used to be part of a community water system near Princeton.  Basically it worked well and local residents pitched in for maintenance.  Drawbacks were Government red tape.
  • I believe all residences should be responsible for payment of a community water system because everyone's property values rise, and should a resident sell, the new home owners would most likely want access to the water.

  • We are property owners in "Valley of the Sun".  We do not as of yet have a water holding tank installed.  We hope to have a holding tank installed by next summer.  I would like to be able to access some kind of community water by then.  We are not permanent residents of Valley of the Sun as of yet, but we'll be hopefully soon.
  • I am also emailing Aaron & Hilary requesting that we are interested in water access or hook-up.
