COMMUNITY WATER SYSTEM FOR MUIR, VALLEY OF THE SUN, SHALAL ROAD SUBDIVISIONS SURVEY RESULTS

Click refresh to be sure you see updates.

LAST UPDATE January 25, 2015

Blue Divider Line

This is where you will find information on Valley of the Sun, Shalal Road, and Muir subdivisions forging ahead to bring water to each of their subdivisions.

This is a survey that was handed out to each property with a house or building in Valley of the Sun and Muir subdivision.  The survey results will be posted here when the surveys come back.

Rumour has it that residents are afraid to send in their water surveys because they get their water out of Shorts Creek.  Getting water from Shorts Creek is all the more reason to fill out the survey to try and get a water system.  Interior Health needs to be contacted regarding this, and maybe something will be done if RDCO wants to do nothing about it.

Residents that are afraid to speak out are not only hurting themselves but others as well.  How do residents ever expect to get water with an attitude like that!  Do you want to wait until someone gets sick, or maybe after some people put wells in and maybe don't want the extra expense of hooking up to a water system later?

If residents want water they should speak up because after talking with Hilary Hettinga it sounds like residents won't get water unless there is a demand for it.  RDCO is not going to go through the trouble of giving residents an estimate to vote on, without support that a vote is wanted.

There will be no more petitions, as petitions or surveys apparently don't mean a thing, so what good are they?  Section 83 (2) The results of a process under this section are not binding on the council.
